He is granted the Normandy, and the same crew as John Shepard. JC Denton, as the closest thing humanity has to a leader, is chosen for Spectre status. After Saren Arterius is turned by Sovereign, and he begins serving his otherworldly masters. Their development progresses with the discovery of mass effect technology, and they end up embroiled in the conflicts that follow. The first contact war goes differently, and the humanity that the Citadel Council encounters is the ultimate fusion of flesh and metal. He has converted the entirety of humanity into nanotech cyborgs like himself, and has hooked them up to Helios in order to maintain a perfect and instantaneous democracy.
